Alto Adige Pinot Bianco Berg DOC

Alto Adige Pinot Bianco Berg DOC

Pinot Bianco is one of the main varieties in South Tyrol. In our range of wines, too, this fruity, well structured white wine plays a prominent role. The grapes are grown on east-facing slopes with calcareous soils in Appiano Monte at 480 – 600 meters a.s.l. Only stainless steel is used in the vinification process in order to fully preserve the wine’s delicate apple notes.
In order to underscore the value of the Pinot Bianco, we decided many years ago to take cuttings from the best old vines. We are convinced that, in combination with the historical site in Appiano Monte, this labor-intensive method of propagation will help us take a decisive step forward in terms of quality.

Alto Adige Sauvignon Porphyr & Kalk DOC

Alto Adige Sauvignon Porphyr & Kalk DOC

This ancient grape variety from France was introduced in South Tyrol towards the end of the 19th century.
The grapes are grown on our sloping sites in Appiano Monte and Cornaiano and blended in the winemaking process in the cellar. The Cornaiano sites contribute notes of lemon balm and tropical fruits, while the grapes from Appiano Monte deliver aromas of gooseberry and nettle. This twin location strategy enables us to produce a striking Sauvignon, with expressive aromas, full body and persistent finish.

Alto Adige Riesling Berg DOC

Alto Adige Riesling Berg DOC

As a student in Germany, Ignaz developed a taste for Riesling and was soon to add the variety to the range of vines cultivated in his own vineyard. We grow our Riesling grapes on the cooler east-facing slopes where they also receive some shade from the beech trees. The combination of Dolomite limestone and an elevation of 600 meters gives the wine its fine peach and citrus aromas and crisp acidity. Although grown outside of the classic Riesling areas, the wine has excellent potential for keeping for several years.

Mitterberg Bianco Trias IGT

Mitterberg Bianco Trias IGT

The power of expression available from a white wine produced from grapes grown on the calcareous soil at the foot of the Mendola is illustrated by this cuvée, which is a blend of Chardonnay (a large part), Petit Manseng and Manzoni Bianco.
In its type, the wine is not unlike a classic White Burgundy: notes of vanilla and nuts with a full and rich body and lively acidity. A long period of aging on the fine lees further enhances the wine’s expressiveness, mouthfeel and potential for keeping.
