Alto Adige Chardonnay "vom Kalk"
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
Growing area: east-facing, well-ventilated slopes in Eppan Berg, at 550-620 meters above sea level.
Soil: Loamy limestone gravel soils at the foot of the Mendola Mountains, with a dominant dolomite content. The soils are very deep with good and permanent water supply.
Training system: Guyot with 6000-7000 vines/hectare
Yield: 35 – 40 hl/ha
Age of the vines: up to 20 years
Vinification: harvest and grape selection by hand, fermentation in small oak barrels, malolactic fermentation and aging on the fine lees for 12-14 months followed by bottle aging for at least 12 months.
