Grape variety: mostly Chardonnay, also Petit Manseng, Incrocio Manzoni (Riesling x Pinot Blanc) and some Ruländer (Pinot Gris)
Growing area: Girlan, Rungg
Soil: mineral-rich, glacial moraine gravel (porphyry, granite, gneiss)
Training system: Guyot with 6000-7000 vines/hectare
Yield: 45-50 hl/ha
Age of the vines: around 20 years
Vinification: Chardonnay (and Ruländer) : Fermentation and malolactic fermentation in barrique and tonneaux, Incrocio Manzoni and Petit Manseng: Fermentation in concrete barrels for around at a controlled temperature of 20° – 24° C, without malolactic fermentation. After several months of assemblage and aging together on the fine lees for another 6 months.
